The meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m. by John LeReche (all were present.)

Minutes: The minutes of the 25 July 2000 Board Meeting were reviewed and approved.

Old Business:

1. Linda Rule reported that she had obtained a ‘group’ re-roofing bid for each home model. Linda provided roof replacement information to Cluster owners, which provided for discounts under various conditions. Work is anticipated to begin in late fall of this year.
2. Bob McCausland indicated that he had obtained some replacement information for Cluster mailboxes and will seek pricing data.
3. Pete Blondin provided a summary of Cluster home maintenance problems he had noted on a spreadsheet. Bob McCausland will provide a 2^nd look at the Cluster with an eye toward identifying additional maintenance items requiring attention.
4. Tom Mulkerin indicated that it was now possible for the Cluster to place resources in special interest bearing accounts.

New Business:

1. The Board reviewed and signed-off on numerous homeowner submitted alteration requests to the Reston Association. The Board took issue with the xxxx’s request to relocate their heat pump units to the rear of their Lagoon Lane home on the basis that it would create noise pollution on the ‘lakeside’ of the Cluster homes backing to the ‘lagoon’ area.
2. Linda Rule discussed a series of Cluster landscaping updates for this fall including the front entrance, plantings in the rear of Lagoon Lane and in front of a few homes on Lakewinds Drive. She also indicated that Care Of Trees would be pruning selected trees in the Cluster and that additional funds would be necessary to remove a large dead tree on Cluster property. The Board approved an $800 increase for Pruning and an additional $1,000 for landscaping.

The next meeting will be 14 November at Bob Patricia Karlsson’s home (2027 Lakewinds) at 7 pm.
